Navjot Singh Sidhu, congress leader and former cricketer, has decided not to participate in Lok Sabha elections due to the poor health of his wife. According to the start sports update, they will be doing commentary in the IPL [Indian Premier League] in 2024.
Navjot Singh Sidhu: A Star Player’s Career
Navjot Singh Sidhu is a former president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. Sidhu’s professional cricket career lasted over 19 years, beginning with his first-class debut in 1981–82. After losing his place in the national team following his international debut in 1983–84, he came back to score four half-centuries in the 1987 World Cup.
Sidhu, who generally batted in the top order, went on to play 51 Tests and 136 One-Day Internationals for his country. He became well-known for his six-hitting skill, earning the nickname “Sixer Sidhu.”. He was a member of the Indian team that won the 1988 Asia Cup, the 1990–91 Asia Cup, and the 1995 Asia Cup, as well as semifinalists in the 1987 and 1996 Cricket World Cups.
After his retirement, he concentrated on commentary and television sets, especially as a comedy show judge and a regular guest on Comedy Nights with Kapil (2013–2015) and The Kapil Sharma Show (2016–2019). He competed in the reality television show Bigg Boss (2012) and was featured in the episode Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa.
